Many visitors could hardly believe it: the big data mining and predictive analytics companies like SAS and SPSS skipped this year's CeBIT. As a consequence, Rapid-I was the only data mining solutions and services company presenting itself with an own stand at the world’s largest information technology fare, which is considered the No.1 marketplace for digital solutions, trends, and innovations. And what made things even better, Rapid-I was not only the only providing data mining solutions, but also making them freely available and open-source. This combination led to a large amount of visitors who wanted to learn more about data mining and how data mining can help to optimize their business.
Beside RapidMiner and the data mining and predictive business intelligence services of Rapid-I, the innovative data mining company also presented two new products: RapidInsight and RapidSentilyzer. RapidInsight is best described as a light version of RapidMiner and enables the user to get insight into given data within only a few mouse clicks. The data mining and analysis processes of RapidInsight are automatically optimized and do not need any user interaction. The CeBIT visitors really liked the simplicity of RapidInsight which will be available for an affordable price in the end of the second quarter, together with learning materials and the underlying RapidMiner processes to ease the application of more complex data mining processes if necessary.
The second new product of Rapid-I is called RapidSentilyzer and combines data analysis and automated text classification capabilities. Based on web service technologies, RapidSentilyzer analyzes web pages and other text documents and is able to distinguish between different sentiments about companies, products, persons, or stocks. RapidSentilyzer delivers aggregated statistics about market perception, customer sentiments, and market penetration. The visitors were surprised by the high sentiment scoring accuracy, when they were asked for a sentence expressing their opinion about a product, which was analysed online and directly classified according to the basic emotion and the sentiment of the sentence.
