Paltalk, the leading real-time, video-based community with over 4 million active members, today announced the launch of its new TechNow network where new ideas about technology will be presented in live, interactive Internet events. The first interactive, live event entitled, Are We the Crash Test Dummies For The New Internet Age, will discuss the genius and the perils of the Internet with two leading tech titans, visionary Melih Abdulhayoglu, CEO of Comodo and noted Internet commentator and CEO of Silicon Alley Insider, Henry Blodget.
The Internet and social networking is now central to how people transact business, communicate and interact with each other. Yet, as the Internet expands our ability to stay connected, evolving dangers undermine the Internet’s potential. This landmark 3-part series will premier on Paltalk’s new TechNow Network where participants can interact with the guests and with each other on a range of subjects organized in three parts.
• Program 1 - “The Internet Today: Like Cars before Seatbelts”. February 10 at 3 pm (EST).
This talk will address the truth about where we are today and how the criminal elements may very well take over the Internet. While there is an entire Internet security industry working to keep people safe, a lot of the responsibility for achieving a trusted Internet falls to the user community itself.
• Program 2 - “Your Digital Identity - Establish it or lose it.” March 3 at 3 pm (EST) This will focus on how much we should reveal about ourselves online without risking our very identities. The program will discuss how the emerging transparency of social networking makes individuals more vulnerable to fraud and ID breaches.
• Program 3 - “Transforming the Web into Your Web.” March 19 at 3 pm (EST)
The final program will challenge us to address how we navigate through an increasingly complex Internet while leveraging new powerful tools to carve out a personal web for each of us.
