The international provider of wireless entertainment Playfon today announces its entry to the Armenian VAS market. Playfon’s geographical expansion is in line with the company’s regional development strategy, which aims at promoting partnership with the leading mobile operators and extension of collaboration with the universally recognized manufacturers Nokia and Sony Ericsson.
Nowadays Playfon provides customers with access to the unique mobile game collection from the world leading publishers, to the greatest music hits from the major Russian and international labels, as well as to hundreds of videos, images, dating, etc.
Playfon’s wide portfolio of content is available for all subscribers of the biggest local GSM operator networks ArmenTel (Beeline) and K Telecom CJSC (VivaCell-MTS). The subscription base of these mobile operators aggregates 2,5 million users.
Vice-president of Playfon Vladimir Borodin says: “Signing partner agreements with mobile operators in Armenia is the logical step in Playfon development strategy. We consider Armenian cellular market as a market with vast promising potential. According to our experts, volume of VAS sales can increase in 2009 year by 100%”. “Moreover we are ready to provide customers of Nokia and Sony Ericsson handsets in Armenia with direct access to the greatly expanded collection of premium content - if the relevant agreements between Playfon and the leading phone manufacturers will be reached”, - Vladimir Borodin underlined.
Currently, Playfon (playfon.com) assumes the integration of the multimedia entertainment service, development and maintenance, licensing and product adaptation for the existing, upcoming and future Nokia and Sony Ericsson devices, presented in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan.
