The winners have been announced in the Sixth Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards. A national panel of judges evaluated and rated entries in twelve groups and twenty-seven categories. Out of nearly 1,200 entries, McKinley Marketing Partners, Inc. received three awards: the New Media Gold Award for their corporate video featuring sports commentator Jim Nantz, the Direct Mail Silver Award for their 2008 direct mail campaign, and another Silver Award for their informational poster. McKinley’s video was produced by Champion Media, Dallas, Texas and its direct mail campaign and informational poster were designed by West + Associates, Alexandria, Virginia.
The Service Industry Advertising Awards was initiated in 2003 to recognize the advertising excellence of the service industry. A national panel of judges reviewed every entry for execution, creativity, quality, consumer appeal, and overall break through advertising content. This is the fourth consecutive year that McKinley has received recognition for its marketing initiatives.
“The service industry continues to be a major factor in our economy, and therefore the advancement of services advertising is at the cutting edge of the advertising industry,” stated Jan Michael Lok, Executive Director of the SIAA Awards. “Obviously the downturn in our economy has affected the service industry; however our judging panel continues to be impressed with the excellence in the creativity of the services industry. More than 250 advertising agencies and 900 service institutions participated in the sixth annual SIAA Awards.”
