The DuraLabel 7000, a new industrial sign and label printer from Graphic Products, Inc., prints on four inch to seven inch width supply for indoor and outdoor applications. It becomes the latest in the line of DuraLabel brand industrial printers.
“Signs made with the DuraLabel 7000 truly capture your attention,” said Steve Hudgik, marketing manager at Graphic Products. “With a wide format printer, a sign’s message is more clearly identifiable, and its larger size allows room for more complete information. This, ultimately, results in increased safety.”
The DuraLabel 7000 is designed to simplify the sign and label making process and can handle a wide variety of industrial label printing applications. It is especially useful for printing the increasingly popular large arc flash hazard labels. Drum labeling is another popular application. Other common applications include 5S labeling, pipe marking, rack labeling, vehicle identification, directional information, safety information, machinery and equipment, identification marking, and OSHA safety signs.
The printer functions with most word processing and graphics programs, but it comes bundled with DuraLabel’s Industrial Labeling Software to make sign and label making jobs quick and easy. Functioning much like a common desktop printer, it requires little training to operate. By utilizing a USB port, the DuraLabel 7000 works with any Windows® NT, or newer, operating system.
“The DuraLabel 7000 makes an excellent companion to either the DuraLabel Pro or DuraLabel Pro 300,” said Hudgik. “Because of its versatility, the DuraLabel 7000 will likely become indispensable at facilities where sign and label sizes often vary.”
Engineered for the industrial workplace, some features for the DuraLabel 7000 include:
● 203 dpi resolution;
● Thermal Transfer / Direct Thermal print mode;
● Compatible with Microsoft Windows NT 4.0®, 2000®, XP®, and VISTA®;
● Automatic cutter for clean, precisely cute signs and labels;
● 4MB Flash, 16MB SDRAM memory;
● USB interface, serial port, and compact flash (CF) socket;
● Prints up to 2 inches per second;
● Software package included (300+ industrial symbols, label template library, tutorials, etc.)
Continuous vinyl supplies are available in 12 different colors, and ribbons are available in seven different colors. Vinyl supplies and ribbons are designed to withstand harsh environments often associated with industrial environments, so labels will last a number of years.
Specialty supplies like reflective, re-positionable, and cold storage vinyl and DuraTag tag stock, among others, can also be used with the DuraLabel 7000.
“For efficient and economical sign and label making jobs, the DuraLabel 7000 is your best large format printer on the market today,” said Hudgik.
