IMS ExpertServices™ announced that Cynthia Scheltema has joined the company in its newly created Expert Advocate role. The new position was designed to deepen the relationship between IMS and its network of experts.
Scheltema comes to IMS with a strong background in advertising, marketing, and client relations. She spent fourteen years as a partner and president of Pensacola’s Campfield & Mertins, Inc., a creative services company that designed marketing and advertising campaigns for regional shopping centers. Later she was a partner in the startup that developed the first commercial mobile osteoporosis diagnostic center in the U.S. After her entrepreneurial experiences, Scheltema’s career track changed. Applying her analytic and communication skills to commercial banking, Scheltema advanced from an AVP Business Banker for First Union National Bank (Wachovia) to become a VP Portfolio Manager for SouthTrust Bank (now Wachovia).
More recently, Scheltema created “Yadda Yadda,” a cable talk show with a supporting blog. “Yadda Yadda” provides a lighthearted forum for successful career women to discuss topics of interest to them. Scheltema has an extensive history of leadership and involvement in the community and is currently an active Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow. At IMS, Scheltema will apply her knowledge and creative thought processes to develop new training, communication, and referral opportunities for the IMS network of industry-leading experts.
“While our client is, and always will be, the attorney,” said CEO Mike Wein, “the addition of Cynthia to our team allows us to explore new opportunities in developing and maintaining expert relationships. Cynthia will work with thought leaders across many industries that supply expert witnesses for Fortune 500 business-to-business litigation.”
