Avangate full service provider of electronic software distribution and reseller management solutions for software vendors, today announced that Avangate's Web Marketing Manager, Adriana Iordan, was elected for a two year term starting January 2009 on the Board of Directors of the Association of Shareware Professionals(ASP), the leading trade organization for independent software developers and vendors. The ASP functions as a liaison between ISVs, microISVs, beginners and market leaders, distributors and marketers facilitating contacts, opportunities and sharing experience.
Avangate's involvement in industry events, such as the Software Industry Conference, the European Software Conference, the Independent Software Developers Forum and the commitment to providing quality knowledge and free access to business resources & tools to ISV professionals received the greatest recognition through Adriana election on the ASP Board of Directors.

Adriana Iordan has actively taken part in the organization, as the ASP's PR & Marketing Manager in 2008, working hands-on at various projects aiming at increasing the association's visibility.
