Seapine Software, a leading provider of quality-centric application lifecycle management (ALM) solutions, announced today the release of QA Wizard Pro 2009, the new version of its automated testing tool. QA Wizard Pro 2009 includes the following enhancements.
Improved support for Web sites with dynamic content:
Smart matching ensures automated scripts can reliably find controls in Web applications during playback. If QA Wizard Pro determines the properties selected as search criteria for existing controls do not differentiate them enough from new controls captured during recording, different search criteria is automatically selected to make the controls unique.
Broadened test capabilities:
QA Wizard Pro now allows users to create scripts to test Java applications and Infragistics controls and grids.
Increased control over repository changes:
QA Wizard Pro now provides even greater control over updates to the application repository. It prompts users to review windows and controls that will be added or modified and allows them to accept or reject the changes.
New URL format rules:
New URL format rules allow users to specify how dynamic URLs are handled. For example, users can create rules to ignore session ID parameter in a URL. During playback, QA Wizard Pro disregards the session ID parameter and searches for controls based on the rest of the URL. This allows scripts to run with fewer false failures.
QA Wizard Pro 2009 is available for download at Seapine Software’s Web site. A getting started video detailing QA Wizard Pro’s main features is also available.
