2G Environmental Ltd has developed an on site construction waste recycling program called the Green grinder that can eliminate most skips.
The Green Grinder is a small but powerful mobile kit that can process and add value to a large variety of construction waste streams at their point of origin.
The program allows the contractor/developer to put materials back into the site saving money from having to purchase these materials. Examples; clean wood/pallets into landscape mulch, block, brick slate and ceramics into (6F2) graded base material. Plasterboard is segregated, shredded, metal removed and can be used on site as a soil enhancement or taken off site and back to the manufacturer for new board production and has also been experimented as an animal bedding alternative for dairy cattle.
Another vital part of the program is the Green Bailer which is a mobile bailer unit that can bail on site waste packaging materials.
Also, included on the Green Bailer is a paint pot/can washer and aerosol puncture unit that extracts the gases out of the aerosol cans and then crushes the pots/cans into lightweight scarp steel.
In conjunction with Bartec Auto ID, 2G Environmental Ltd have developed the most advanced on site/field reporting, waste tracking system currently offered in the UK.
The Waste Tracker gives the contractor/developer exact waste stream audits, both on and off site but also the system includes a calculator that can calculate carbon credits, landfill diversion, skip elimination and on site recycled material values.
