Panacea is used to accelerate the development and testing of e-Health applications. By providing a secure and functional sandbox environment, Panacea allows developers and QA personnel to simulate HL7 message requests and responses in order to test and validate their software against jurisdictional requirements. Panacea can also reproduce the application workflow for the different jurisdictions.

Panacea is a web-based tool that is HL7 v3 based, supports pan-Canadian standards and includes both a Health Canada DIN database and sample PIN data. Panacea also supports Client Registry, Provider Registry, Drug Database (CeRx), and drug interactions. Flexible and full-featured client and provider registries are included with the software.
The Canada Health Infoway Standards Collaborative Partnership Conference is being held from October 20 – 22, 2008 at the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel in Montreal, QC. The conference will draw a wide range of participants from across Canada to discuss health information standards within Canada.
