Report Buyer, the online destination for business intelligence for major industry sectors, has added a new report which finds that there has been an expansion in the market for natural rubber linked to the increased demand for cars and tyres.
The report, "China Natural Rubber-Market Review & Outlook 2007-2008 Proposal" finds that China has surpassed Japan and the US to become the largest rubber consuming country in the world.
Authors recall that in 2005, Typhoon Damrey played havoc with large stretches of the rubber forests in Yunnan and Hainan. They say the yield in 2005 was only 510,000 tons, down by 10.6% from 2004. But in 2007, the rubber forests have recovered and rubber tapping technologies have improved too. They predict that it is expected that the output of natural rubber should recover, and should match, or better the 2004 output. Analysts find that the increase of natural rubber output in China is coupled with rapidly growing natural rubber consumption in the country.
The report answers questions such as: how will the surging demands for natural rubber in China affect the supply-demand relation in the Chinese market? It also predicts how the import of natural rubber will evolve, what effect the development of synthetic rubber will have on the natural rubber market, and forecasts to 2008.
"China Natural Rubber-Market Review & Outlook 2007-2008 Proposal" is available from Report Buyer.
