SheerVision, Inc. (OTCBB: SVSO) Closed at $0.35. Today announced that the company has achieved profitability for the fourth quarter of 2007 and sales for the fourth quarter have increased by over 100%. For the 4th quarter ended August 31, 2007, sales increased 118% percent over the previous years 4th quarter, representing the strongest quarter of this fiscal year.
ARIAD Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ARIA) Closed at $5.13. Today announced that it has entered into a non-exclusive license agreement with ICON Medical Corp., an emerging cardiovascular medical device company, to develop and commercialize drug-eluting stents that deliver ARIAD's novel mTOR inhibitor, deforolimus, to prevent restenosis of injured vessels following interventions in which stents are used in conjunction with balloon angioplasty. Inhibitors of mTOR block the wound-healing response to arterial injury that leads to restenosis.
Pro-Pharmaceuticals (Amex: PRW) Closed at $0.76. Today announced that three of seven (43%) evaluable patients in its Phase II colorectal cancer trial have experienced tumor shrinkage of greater than 30%, a partial response according to Response Evaluation Criteria for Solid Tumors (RECIST). In addition, none of the patients in the trial have experienced hematological or gastrointestinal severe adverse events (SAEs) of grade 3 or higher. SAEs generally result in life threatening events, inpatient hospitalization, persistent or significant disability, or death.
Huaneng Power International (NYSE: HNP) Closed at $50.03. Today announced its power generation in the first three quarters of 2007. Based on the Company's preliminary statistics, for the first three quarters up to 30 September, 2007, the Company's total power generation based on a consolidated basis amounted to 124.521 billion kWh, an increase of 11.24% over the same period last year. The power generation of Xindian Power Plant, Luohuang Power Plant, Huaiyin Power Plant, Taicang Power Plant, Shanghai Combined Cycle and Nanjing Power Plant increased significantly as compared to the same period last year.
