This product satisfies requested specifications of Scc21: Class3*1, Cp: Class3*1, in the OPEN Alliance specifications for the ‘10Base-T1S*2’ in-vehicle Ethernet standard. Mass production of this product has already begun.
In recent years, the automotive industry has rapidly advanced basic operation control technology to achieve CASE*3, aiming to make driving safer and easier. Against this backdrop, there is a trend to unify network standards from CAN, which has been adopted in control system interfaces, to Ethernet, which is becoming mainstream in information system interfaces. The introduction of 10Base-T1S, which supports data transmission speeds of up to 10Mbps, is being considered.
To address this, Murata has developed a common mode choke coil for 10Base-T1S by incorporating newly introduced metal terminal technology along with our winding and ferrite assembly technologies. By using this product that satisfies the standards for 10Base-T1S, Murata contributes to the market installation for in-vehicle interface using 10Base-T1S.
*1 Scc21: Class3/ Cp: Class3: In-vehicle Ethernet ‘10Base-T1S’ OPEN Alliance standard. For this standard, Scc21: Class3(240uH), Cp:Class3(≤10pF) is required for common mode choke coils.
*2 10Base-T1S: An in-vehicle communication standard used to connect Ethernet devices capable of a communication speed of 10Mbps.
