With this fifth Safran Electrical & Power wiring factory, the Chihuahua campus now covers over 71,000 m² and will employ 5,300 people. This campus supports major aerospace programs for Airbus, ATR, Boeing, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky, and space and advanced air mobility programs including Blue Origin and Wisk.
The new 10,600 m² plant will enable the ramp-up of current programs, prepare for the next generation of single-aisle aircraft, contribute to new defense contracts, and strengthen the company’s position in advanced air mobility markets. It is expected to create over 800 jobs, with operations scheduled to begin in November 2026.
