Fingerprint Cards AB (FPC) today announces the launch of the FPC AllKey Software Platform, a fully integrated biometric platform that enables customers to develop and run their own applications directly on AllKey devices, secured by FPC’s industry-leading fingerprint authentication. The launch marks an important strategic step for FPC as the company continues its expansion beyond standalone biometric components into higher-value platform solutions, targeting fast-growing markets such as enterprise security, access control, and IoT.
Demand for secure and user-friendly authentication continues to grow as organizations and consumers seek stronger protection against cyber threats. By addressing applications in enterprise IT, industrial systems, and connected devices, the AllKey Software Platform positions FPC to participate in structural growth trends beyond the traditional smartphone market. Furthermore, AllKey Software Platform represents a move further up the value chain; instead of supplying only a biometric sensor, FPC now offers a programmable, secure platform that becomes a central part of the customer’s product design. The AllKey Software Platform, entirely developed in-house, combines FPC’s proven fingerprint technology with a secure microcontroller environment that allows customers to develop and run their own applications directly on the device. This means manufacturers can develop complete, secure products using a single integrated solution, reducing complexity, cost, and time to market. Typical applications include secure PC login keys, USB authenticators, access control devices, industrial panels, and connected IoT products.
The platform is built on secure embedded technology, including TrustZone® protection and a secure boot chain, ensuring that customers can meet enterprise-grade security requirements. At the same time, it is supported by an accessible software development kit that enables faster product development and customization, making it attractive to both established OEMs and emerging innovators.
