ABB brings its expertise in assessing and optimizing fleets of electric motor-driven systems, including pumps, fans, compressors, and other industrial equipment, helping customers identify and unlock energy savings potential across their operations. Together, the companies will deliver a unique offering from energy appraisals and system design to financing, implementation, and long-term operation.
The announcement of the collaboration follows the recent publication by the International Energy Agency (IEA) of its flagship World Energy Outlook 2025.1 This highlights energy efficiency as a key driver for economic competitiveness, affordability, and reducing overall energy demand. It also reports that energy efficiency, combined with electrification and sustainable fuels, will enable a nearly 55 percent reduction in global energy-related CO2 emissions by 2035 (from 38 gigaton -Gt in 2024 to around 18 Gt).
