Rocket Software, a global technology leader in modernization software, announced it was named as a “Vendor to Watch” in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Data Integration Software Platforms 2025 Vendor Assessment (doc # US53001625, October 2025). The IDC MarketScape study evaluated data integration software platforms across 18 vendors.
“Rocket DataEdge helps organizations integrate and deliver their most critical data to the places that need it. In under one year, Rocket DataEdge has delivered real-time, trustworthy data to industries, providing a strong foundation for organizations accelerating their AI and analytics strategies,” said Michael Curry, President, Data Modernization Business Unit. “In today’s AI-driven landscape, organizations need intelligent data integration systems, and this acknowledgement reinforces that Rocket Software is a trusted partner in data management and making data AI-ready and AI-available.”
Launched in January 2025, Rocket DataEdge is a software suite for enterprise data integration, bridging the gap between core transactional applications, distributed systems, and cloud environments to provide seamless data discovery, integration, and management. DataEdge enables organizations to realize the full potential of their data for AI, analytics, and corporate initiatives by discovering, mapping, and integrating enterprise data in real time.
“Rocket Software’s DataEdge offers a powerful solution for organizations looking to modernize how they access and use mainframe and IBM i data,” said Stewart Bond, Vice President, Data Intelligence and Integration Software, IDC. “Its ability to deliver real-time insights while maintaining security and governance makes it a strong choice for enterprises pursuing hybrid cloud and AI-driven strategies that require this hard-to-reach data.”
According to the report,“Strengths include sub-second CDC across heterogeneous environments, automated metadata scanning with deep lineage, and secure virtualization that minimizes mainframe CPU impact and avoids data movement risks.” The report added,“Enterprises seeking to modernize and operationalize mainframe and IBM i data securely and efficiently, especially when low-latency synchronization, governance, and hybrid interoperability are essential, should consider Rocket Software.”
