Responding to the growing challenges of recruiting and retaining talent in high-tech sectors, this agreement is an important milestone in the collaboration between Safran a major player in France’s defense industrial base and the country’s military establishment.

The result of close dialogue between the partners, this agreement aims to:

• Facilitate the redeployment of trained and experienced AAE personnel within Safran by recognizing and leveraging their expertise.
• Organize the temporary secondment of qualified personnel to meet industry needs.
• Promote France’s operational reserve by making it easier for Safran employees to serve in the AAE.
• Ensure transparency and coordination in processing applications while respecting the rules and requirements of all parties involved.

Défense Mobilité (defense.gouv.fr) is the French government agency responsible for helping military personnel transition to civilian careers. It will act as facilitator by matching Safran’s stated needs with skilled individuals from the Air & Space Force.

Air Corps General Philippe Hirtzig, Director of Human Resources for the AAE, Stéphane Dubois, EVP Human & Social Responsibility for Safran, and General Commissioner Frédéric Sternenberg, Director of Défense Mobilité, jointly hailed a “partnership based on trust, transparency and the pursuit of shared interests in support of France’s national sovereignty and the effectiveness of its defense industrial base”.

This three-year agreement symbolizes a positive and mutually beneficial dynamic between the military and the defense industry, in support of national technological excellence.
