This marks the fifteenth upgrade of its kind carried out by ANDRITZ in the last five years. Start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.
This technological upgrade includes new hood burners, gas valve trains, and a new burner management system for electronic control of the air/gas ratio, optimizing the combustion process across the entire burner output range of the PM5 tissue machine.

With the implementation of this state-of-the-art combustion system, Cartaseta aims to significantly enhance burner performance under all operating conditions. This will improve the energy efficiency of the entire tissue machine, reduce CO₂ emissions in compliance with regulations, and maximize the safety and reliability of the equipment. Additionally, the system upgrade, carried out by the experienced ANDRITZ team in collaboration with the customer’s mill operators, will help minimize machine downtime.
