Harnessing Eurofins Agro Testing’s analytical expertise and trinamiX’s NIR spectroscopy technology, a mobile analysis solution for forage, which will provide instant nutritional insights on farm, has been developed. By allowing users to analyse forage samples directly on-farm with a handheld device, farmers and advisors will quickly and efficiently be able to identify problems and fine-tune silage production and feed rations, and as such, improve animal health, boost farm productivity, and reduce environmental impact. The device, coupled with Eurofins Agro Testing’s forage analysis applications, will be available from Spring 2025. Attendees at EuroTier (eurotier.com) can see the solution at trinamiX booth A63 in Hall 20 and are invited to join a panel presentation to learn more about it on November 13, 9.30 AM at the DLG Expert Stage in Hall 13.
The key components of this state-of-the-art solution are a powerful portable NIR spectrometer, trinamiX PAL Two, a rotator and specially developed Eurofins Agro Testing forage analysis applications. This solution has the potential to revolutionise the analysis of forage for feed suppliers, farm consultants, and farmers.
Eurofins Agro Testing emphasises that the collaboration with trinamiX represents a long-term commitment to invest in, and continue to develop, the solution as a valuable addition to in-laboratory analysis, with a view to making it available worldwide. Eurofins Agro Testing was keen to partner with trinamiX to utilise its mobile NIR spectrometer for this project because of its ability to deliver first-class device performance while also being user-friendly. This helps customers run their businesses profitably and sustainably while improving the health of livestock.
Nils Mohmeyer, Director of Mobile Spectroscopy at trinamiX GmbH, is convinced that the collaboration with Eurofins Agro Testing, the leading agricultural laboratory network in Europe, and their jointly developed forage analysis applications, make trinamiX PAL Two the preferred NIR spectrometer for on-site analysis of forages. The combination of analytical expertise and innovative NIR spectroscopy technology is truly unique and highly valuable for the industry.
