The Temporary Grouping of Companies comprising Alstom, global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, and Iselfa Morsetteria Srl (iselfa-morsetteria.it), manufacturer of clamps and accessories for high and very high voltage overhead power line equipment, announces the signature of a contract valued at 15 million euros, options included, with Terna SpA (terna.it) - the company managing the Italian electricity transmission grid - for the supply of unified terminal blocks for the modernisation of high-voltage power lines in Italy.
These components are designed to maintain tension, support, and hold the conductors in overhead lines, which are essential for transporting electricity throughout the grid. The contract is signed for a duration of 24 months including the possibility of an extension for an additional 24 months.

Furthermore, the production is used in the construction of the main railway, metro and tram lines in Europe and worldwide. Specifically, the new site in Valmadrera will oversee the production of Catenary cantilevers and related accessories for electrification of railway lines (Regional, High Speed, Metro), terminal blocks for substations and power distribution lines (Terna), rigid catenary for metro, third rail and APS (power supply from the ground) for metro or tramway lines, and finally power supply lines for overhead travelling cranes.
