Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, and Quectel Wireless Solutions Co., Ltd, a global IoT solutions provider, showcased the machine vision and edge intelligence solution for smart modules at MWC-Barcelona 2023. This solution can enable various use cases including industrial sorting, manufacturing line management and other industrial applications.
The solution uses the Qualcomm QCM6490 chipset with the Quectel smart module SG560D and can detect and recognize various objects and fully utilize the hardware acceleration on CPU, GPU, and DSP processors.
For years, Qualcomm Technologies has managed a technology value-added services (Tech VAS) program, developed by Qualcomm Incorporated through its Qualcomm Technology Licensing (QTL) division, to enable the wireless ecosystem, to develop and deploy the most advanced and complex technologies.
