Paysafe Group (Paysafe), a leading specialized payment platform, today announced that Petroleum Card Services, the Group’s payment processing solutions provider for U.S. gas stations, won the ‘Associate of the Year’ award yesterday at the Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association (PMCA) of Kansas’ 2020 convention.
Held at the Prairie Band Casino & Resort in Topeka, the awards ceremony capped the final day of the PMCA of Kansas’ 106th annual event, which ran from September 28th to 30th. The convention, dubbed ‘Shaping the Future of Kansas Energy and Convenience’, assembled the gas station and convenience store operators, petroleum distributors, and service providers whose business interests the PMCA of Kansas represents.
Petroleum Card Services, which has been a member of PMCA of Kansas (pmcaofkansas.org) since 2018, was honored with the ‘Associate of the Year’ award following its strong payments support to Kansas gas stations and convenience stores. The Paysafe company has worked collaboratively to provide Association members with unparalleled service and improved payment processing.
In addition, against the backdrop of the April 2021 deadline for fuel retailers to accept EMV chip card payments at the pump, Petroleum Card Services has facilitated members’ upgrading of their payment offerings to remain compliant. Beyond offering direct support over the last 12 months, Petroleum Card Services launched its EMV at the Pump Compliance Hub. This online resource provides gas stations and convenience stores in Kansas and across the U.S. with a comprehensive set of tools to shift to EMV, including an information center, FAQ, EMV news and related articles.
Lori Griboski, Vice President Sales at Petroleum Card Services, Paysafe, said: “We are honored to receive the PMCA of Kansas’ ‘Associate of the Year’ award. This award reflects the hard work of our team in supporting Kansas gas stations and convenience stores with impeccable customer service and an unwavering focus on improving their payment offerings. Going forward, we plan to further strengthen and diversify our payments support for the Kansas petro market and beyond.”
Thomas Palace, Executive Director at Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association of Kansas, commented: “The Associate of the Year Award is given annually to a member that goes above and beyond in supporting the Association. The support Petroleum Card Services gave to the Association was unprecedented for a new member.”
