Independent accreditation organization, Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, Inc. certified Hydratight’s facilities in Deer Park, Houston, Texas, and Antigo, Wisconsin, against the international standard ISO 17025.
The standard outlines that calibration laboratories demonstrate that they operate competently and generate accurate results, promoting confidence in their work nationally and around the world.
Test reports and certificates can be accepted from one country to another without the need for additional testing, which improves international trade and lowers testing costs for customers.
Luca Ghiotto, global product manager, said: “We are reassured that our major manufacturing and service facilities are continually recognised for their quality and results. Our teams receive the best training available globally, so we take pride in the fact they are also independently certified.
“For customers, this accreditation brings added confidence that when they bring their equipment to Hydratight for service and repair, that it will be handled by a technically proficient team and certification will be valid in most countries where they work.”
Torque and bolted joint equipment used by customers in the oil and gas, power generation, nuclear and aerospace industries are subject to calibration and pressure test checks in-line with these international standards. The accreditation covers the company’s technical competence for the calibration of torque multipliers, torque wrenches and pressure gauges.
Passing the stringent quality assurance programme allows Hydratight to calibrate torque tools and bolting equipment of any make and model, and pressure gauges up to 10,000 PSI.
Each tool provided to a Hydratight service center is accurately tested and all calibration data is recorded and stored. All calibrations are traceable to the International System of Units (SI).
