As part of the partnership, Acronis will help the Club to enhance and develop its data backup and storage capabilities.

Having all data, applications, and systems efficiently backed up and ready to be restored, will open new opportunities for what can be done with all available data, helping the club to reach new goals.

Technology, data in particular, is increasingly important to teams in this ever-developing digital age. So much so, that during the days leading up to important matches, data is available through iPads in the Manchester City locker room so that players can review historical data with their coaches and make last-minute adjustments to the playbook. As part of the partnership agreement, Manchester City will explore ways to work with the Acronis Foundation. The foundation provides equitable education around the world through building schools in developing countries. Created in honour of Acronis’ 15-year anniversary and the company’s founding principle that all evils are caused by insufficient knowledge, the Foundation supports initiatives designed to stimulate education to gain and protect knowledge around the world. Further details of how Manchester City and the Acronis Foundation will work together will be announced as the partnership progresses.
