Zipcar members now have exclusive access to seven spaces, building on 40 other Zipcar spaces throughout San Diego.
Zipcar is an official partner of the City of San Diego (sandiego.gov) and the sole car-sharing provider operating in the City. The service offers San Diegans another transportation alternative to help the City achieve its Climate Action Plan goals. Numerous studies have proven Zipcar’s positive impact on the environment, most notably a UC Berkeley study that shows each Zipcar takes up to 13 personally owned vehicles off the road. Fewer cars leads to less congestion and fewer carbon emissions, and more space for bike lanes, parks and walking paths.
These sustainable and cost-effective wheels can be reserved 24/7 to all members ages 21+ (or 18+ for students on Zipcar affiliated campuses) living in or traveling to the San Diego area. Hourly reservations include gas, insurance, maintenance, a dedicated parking spot for easy pick up and return and 180 free miles per day.
