Vero Software will present the new WorkNC Robot module which can control any kind of robot, along with new developments for the VISI Reverse-Engineering module, at the JEC 2018 exhibition at Paris Nord Villepinte.
From the 6th to 8th of March, visitors to the Vero Software stand - Hall 6 D37 - at the JEC World 2018 exhibition will be able to discover the new WorkNC Robot module which makes controlling robots easier and more approachable for both novices and experts.
Vero will also take advantage of this event to demonstrate new developments made to its Reverse-Engineering module. JEC World (jeccomposites.com ), at Paris Nord Villepinte, is the largest international exhibition for the composite materials industry. It presents recent innovations and the latest developments from over 1,300 exhibiting brands from more than 100 countries.
The new Robot module has been fully integrated into the powerful WorkNC CAM software. It benefits from the full range of strategies (2, 3, 3+2 and simultaneous 5 axis toolpaths). Thanks to its user-friendly, intuitive interface, it offers simple, quick and precise programming features to produce simple or complex toolpaths for all types of materials and machines.
WorkNC Brand Manager Miguel Johann says: “With a 25% increase in the sale of robots for 2017, there is a growing demand for offline programming of these machines. New WorkNC simulation tools and singularity avoidance allows users to enjoy the numerous benefits offered by robot manufacturing processes.
“For example, milling limitations no longer apply to toolpaths because the tool at the end of the robot arm can be anything from a grinder, a laser head, a welding nozzle or any other tool imagined by an engineer.
"Robots can also manage static tools where the part is mobile and moves around the tool itself, which is the inverse of traditional methods where the component is fixed and the tool is mobile. But robots can only work efficiently when supported by a suitable programming software application and the latest developments integrated into WorkNC allow manufacturers to be at the cutting edge of robot technology."
Visitors to the Vero Software stand will be able to see for themselves the advantages offered by the WorkNC Robot module thanks to live demonstrations using a Staubli TX 90L robot.
A 1-metre span, 100% carbon Kite Foil manufactured exclusively with WorkNC CAM, by Ketos, will be exhibited on the stand. Ketos represents 25 years of experience in the field of composite materials.
And VISI will also be on show at the stand. The Reverse - Engineering function from the VISI CAD/CAM module allows point clusters to be recovered which are then processed to create a mesh which can be refined and smoothed using different options. This output can be used to create the corresponding geometry and continue the process thanks to the different CAD functions present in the VISI software suite: VISI Modelling which offers high level flexibility for designing, repairing and modifying the most complex parts, VISI Flow for analyzing plastic flow and VISI Mould which offers a comprehensive solution for mold design and simulation along with machining thanks to a range of CAM functions.
