NAKIVO Inc., a fast-growing software company dedicated to protecting virtualized and cloud environments, today announced its 2017 annual results.
In 2017, NAKIVO has achieved the following:
Revenue: In 2017, NAKIVO has achieved excellent annual results: nearly doubling revenue (85% growth) in 2017 vs. 2016, demonstrating rapid growth in the VMware, Hyper-V, and Amazon EC2 backup markets. Most of the 2017 revenue (53%) came from the EMEA region, while 37% came from the Americas, and 10% from the Asia-Pacific region. In 2017, the top three countries, in terms of revenue, were United States, Germany, and Italy.
NAKIVO grew revenue more than 100% YoY in the Netherlands, Italy, Canada, South Africa, Belgium, Austria, Brazil, Poland, and Ireland.
Customers: In 2017, the number of new customers grew by 103% in the EMEA region, by 62% in the Americas, and by 50% in the Asia-Pacific region. As of now, NAKIVO has customers in 105 countries worldwide and has expanded into Andorra, French Polynesia, Tunisia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina for the first time.
Some examples of new customers include: The University of Colorado Denver (The University of Colorado Denver Recovers VMware VMs in Just 10 Minutes with NAKIVO), Boise Cascade (Boise Cascade Achieves Instant Disaster Recovery with NAKIVO), and San Dieguito Union High School District (NAKIVO Enables Seamless Datacenter Migration for a Leading California School District, Saves $18,000 Annually on VM Backup).
Resellers: NAKIVO has increased the number of its solution provider partners by 75% from 2016 to 2017. In Q4 2017 alone, 240 new solution providers joined the NAKIVO Partner Program and now offer NAKIVO products to their enterprise and SMB customers. NAKIVO now has over 2,300 partners across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle-East, and the Asia-Pacific region. One example of a solution partner is Vodien (NAKIVO Cuts Backup Costs by 40% and Decreases Backup Administration Time by 50% for Vodien).
Cloud Providers: NAKIVO’s Cloud Provider Program enables managed service, cloud, and hosting providers to deliver VM Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS), VM Replication-as-a-Service (RaaS), and VM Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) to their customers using NAKIVO Backup & Replication. In 2017, NAKIVO increased the number of qualified cloud providers to 181. An example of a hosting and cloud service provider is Phi Medien Systeme GmbH (NAKIVO Saves $25,000 in Backup Costs for a Hosting Provider).
Product: In 2017, NAKIVO released the following product versions:
- v7.0, featuring support for vSphere 6.5, swap file exclusion, Active Directory integration, and support for Microsoft Hyper-V 2016 and 2012 (R2).
- v7.1, featuring Hyper-V Failover Cluster Support.
- v7.2, featuring installation on an ASUSTOR NAS, transaction log truncation, and instant object recovery for Microsoft SQL Server.
- v7.3, featuring support for deduplication appliances, such as NEC HYDRAstor, EMC Data Domain, HP StoreOnce, and Quantum DXi.
