Forrester (forrester.com) employs a rigorous process to create a Forrester Wave. Highlights include generating a detailed taxonomy of product attributes, gathering and validating data, and creating the Forrester Wave graphic.
The report evaluated DDoS mitigation solutions based on current offering, market presence, and strategy. Radware’s solutions achieved the highest possible score in 15 criteria, including Layer 7 attack mitigation, multi-vector attacks, on-premises solution, secure socket layer (SSL) investigation; DNS attack mitigation, Internet-of-Things (IoT) botnets, detection tactics, telemetry, and reporting.
The report notes “customer references remarked on the solution’s reliability, behavioral detection capabilities, and its ability to scale.” The report also states,“Radware has a strong global presence, with multiple security operations centers (SOCs) and scrubbing centers in three geographies.”
“Online availability has become the oxygen for business life worldwide. Attacks against availability, such as DDoS, from infected IoT Devices, hidden within SSL connections and massively pulsed attacks have become a primary threat for businesses of all sizes. These attacks can exact intense operational and financial tolls and ruin customer experiences,” said Carl Herberger, Radware’s Vice President for Security Solutions. “We believe that Forrester’s acknowledgement of our position as a leader for DDoS mitigation solutions validates that our technology makes an impact in the market and provides further confidence in our business availability solutions worldwide. Our solutions are extremely well-positioned to protect our customers today from an increasingly complex threat landscape that includes IoT botnets, encrypted attacks, and we look forward to introducing even more innovative solutions in the near future for increased partnership and even more marketplace leadership.”
