The Spanish speaking women’s association of Hong Kong (Asociación de Mujeres de Habla Hispana in Spanish) is a ‘not for profit’ organisation that was founded in 1977 with the purpose of bringing together the women from the Spanish speaking community in Hong Kong whilst giving back to the Hong Kong community. In addition to organising multiple social events for the Spanish speaking community and collaborating closely with consulates and chambers of commerce of their respective countries, the women from the association have been visiting and raising funds for charities such as ‘St Mary’s home for the elderly’, ‘China Coast’ and 'Crossroads foundation’ in Hong Kong and the orphanage ‘Cradle of Hope’ in Macao. The ladies from the Association also provide visits and support to the Spanish speaking prisoners in Hong Kong jails.

The Spanish speaking women's association of Hong Kong (amhh.org.hk), is the ideal first point of contact for Spanish speaking women newly arrived in Hong Kong who are in need of practical information, tips, advice or just friends.

Their 40th anniversary will be celebrated with a gala dinner and ball that will be held at the Hong Kong Parkview on the 4th of November.
