IDology announced today that it has joined the ThreatMetrix Connect program by integrating the ExpectID® identity verification solution into the ThreatMetrix fraud, identity and authentication platform. This new partnership was announced on the opening day of the Digital Identity Summit 2017 in San Francisco.
ThreatMetrix customers can now benefit from plug-and- play access to additional identity verification services from IDology. A pre-built connector to the ExpectID API means that it can be seamlessly invoked based on the risk profile of the transaction. This risk profile is based on unique analysis from ThreatMetrix Digital Identity Network® on the legitimacy of the user’s true identity.
The integration will enable improved identity verification across multiple industries including financial services, payments, lending, e-commerce, insurance, healthcare, travel organizations and more. By combining ExpectID IDology’s robust and flexible identity verification solution with the ThreatMetrix digital identity platform, organizations will be able to accelerate the modernization of their identity verification and authentication processes to better meet the needs of today’s digital consumers.

The ExpectID platform, known for its ability to help organizations drive revenue through pinpoint verification and fraud detection, will give ThreatMetrix customers a more powerful and flexible stack of identity verification and fraud prevention solutions.

Through the IDology integration, ThreatMetrix customers will now have access to enhanced fraud mitigation through the IDology Collaborative Fraud Network. By leveraging consortium fraud data from the IDology network, organizations will be better equipped to segregate fraudulent transactions from legitimate customers, ultimately improving customer acquisition and lowering occurrences of application and account takeover fraud. ThreatMetrix will also utilize IDology’s ExpectID® Score solution that includes IDology’s proprietary Adaptive Scoring™ process that leverages ExpectID attributes to accommodate a broad spectrum of scoring scenarios.
