The collaboration enables DSM to offer the largest portfolio of UV filters in the world. It also ensures a competitive supply chain for these products as well as expansion capabilities sufficient to meet growing market demands.
DSM, one of the industry’s leading suppliers of ingredients and innovative solutions for beauty care products, and Nanjing Cosmos Chemical Co., Ltd (cosmoschem.com), a leading technology-based manufacturer and distributor in the field of fine and specialty chemicals, today announced a new strategic partnership. The partnership will combine DSM’s expertise in sun and skin care science and excellent customer reach with Cosmos’s manufacturing capabilities to deliver the most innovative filters available in the market today, PARSOL Max and PARSOL Shield.
The addition of PARSOL Max and PARSOL Shield makes DSM’s portfolio of UV filters the broadest in the industry. The two products will be produced on Cosmos’s newly built Sinobest production site.. The Sinobest production site is ICH Q7 GMP-guideline compliant and already has sufficient capacity to cover growing global market demands for the products.

The opening ceremony for the new manufacturing plant took place in the presence of Mr. Ji Xiang, deputy major of Ma Anshan City, and Mr. Lang Ping, director of the management committee of Cihu Industrial Park, as well as high level representatives from DSM and Cosmos.
