This partnership will provide Sierra libraries with a robust service for patron notifications directly through Innovative from an award-winning service provider. TALKINGTECH’s i-tiva library service, used by over 600 public libraries including Polaris library partners, provides personalized telephone notifications to patrons. As the exclusive reseller of the i-tiva solution for Sierra libraries, Innovative now offers a fully integrated solution to customers globally.

In addition to patron notifications, i-tiva provides 24/7 answering services for the library, including over-the-phone controls for users to renew items and review their account status. Proof of delivery and extensive reporting ensures libraries know how many messages they’ve sent and how many calls they’ve received.
Ten early adopters have already started using the i-tiva for Sierra solution. The service reduces time and money spent on postage, staff making calls, and staff taking calls. This frees library staff to focus on service delivery, and gives patrons the flexibility to choose a communications method they prefer.
