Saba today announced that global hospitality company Hyatt has been selected for a Brandon Hall Group excellence award for the Best Use of Social/Collaborative Learning, based on its work with the Saba Cloud intelligent talent management solution.
Saba Cloud powers more agile learning and development across the Hyatt portfolio of 12 premier brands and more than 650 properties in over 50 countries. Saba provides Hyatt’s global colleagues of more than 100,000 people with video micro-learning and a social learning community that facilitate anytime, anywhere development, peer-to-peer networking and knowledge exchange. In turn, Hyatt team members are more quickly enabled to deliver the globally consistent brand experience its guests expect, in support of the company’s purpose to care for people so they can be their best.
“With so many colleagues around the world, many of whom are not desk bound, we heard the need to provide on-the-go learning opportunities,” said Christy Sinnott, vice president of learning at Hyatt. “We are grateful for our collaboration with Saba to bring our new learning management system and curriculum to life, and we’re thankful for this industry recognition for the team’s collective efforts.”
“We are delighted to see Hyatt’s innovations in social and collaborative development get the industry recognition it deserves,” said Paige Newcombe, Chief Customer Officer at Saba. “With Saba Cloud, Hyatt is connecting its people wherever they are in the world, and in the process, connecting the dots between learning and business performance. Saba is proud to team with Hyatt to deliver next generation training and development practices that support its efforts to enable colleagues to be their best.”
The award entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives based upon the following criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measureable benefits.
“Winning a Brandon Hall Group Excellence Award means an organization is an elite innovator within Human Capital Management,” said Rachel Cooke, Chief Operating Officer of Brandon Hall Group and head of the awards program. “Hyatt and Saba’s collective achievement is also notable because of the positive impact their work in HCM has on business results. All award winners have to demonstrate a measurable benefit to the business, not just the HCM operation. That’s an important distinction. Our HCM award winners are helping to transform the business.”
Excellence Award winners will be honored at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference January 24-27, 2017, at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Selected winners also will serve as presenters in the more than 20 breakout sessions during the event.
