Qubole, the big data-as-a-service company, today announced the launch of its Cloudera Migration Program to assist enterprises in expanding their use of big data by leveraging the advantages of the cloud. As part of the program, Qubole has partnered with WANdisco, the market leader in active transactional data replication, to create a seamless process for customers migrating data and analytics to the cloud with no downtime or business disruption.

Qubole customers have seen savings up to 80% for workloads using spot instances and have admins supporting hundreds of users. The Cloudera Migration Program is designed for companies that deployed Cloudera Express, Cloudera Enterprise or CDH on-premise and now want a quick and easy way to leverage the massive economies of scale offered by cloud.

• Professional services for scoping, planning, design and migration of on-premise Cloudera deployments;
• The seamless movement of data at scale that doesn’t disrupt on-premise user access, or require cloud vendor storage appliances to be sent back and forth from customer data centers;
• Post-migration, the solution supports active transactional data movement between on-premise and cloud environments for hybrid burst-to-cloud use cases.
