Global organizations continue to grapple with cybersecurity challenges. With the convergence of Internet-connected things, there will be newer risks and consequences arising out of seamless connectivity around us. Since the launch of ITU- Arab regional cyber security center (ITU- ARCC) in March 2013, it played a major role in raising and enhancing cyber security capabilitiesto be align with main aim of creating a safer & cooperative cybersecurity environment for the Arab region.For over two years Nispana, a business intelligence company, has been consistently working towards increasing awareness on the criticality of information security, along with Information Technology Authority (ITA) represented by Oman National CERT (OCERT)
Today, the two global entities have inked the partnership that will create, develop and manage the fifth Annual of Regional Cyber Security Summit, taking place in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt from 30 October to 1 November 2016, in collaboration with the National Telecom regulatory Authority (NTRA) in Egypt.
The partnership was signed today in Muscat, between Eng. Bader Al Salehi, Director General of Oman National CERT and the head of ITU-ARCC and Mr. Narendra Kumar, Managing Director of Nispana Innovative Platforms.

This high-level 3-day summit focuses on the collaboration of 22 Arab countries and the neighboring North African states to fight cybercrime and promote a safe internet environment for their internet users. The premium 3 day summit will also host and engage the most promising and emerging global firms across healthcare, energy& Utilities, Defence& Aviation, Hospitality, Media, Governments Authorities, Financial Institutions and Manufacturing sectors. These participating entities will be provided with unmatched exposure to the regional and global cyber security experts. This summit is an annual gathering organized by ITU - Arab Regional Cybersecurity Center (ITU-ARCC). This summit will be formulated around the key pillars of ITU which includes Capacity building, international & regional cooperation, Technical and legal measures capabilities and organizational structure.

The ITU Arab Regional Cyber Security Center is proud to announce this Summit which is co-organized by the Information Technology Authority through Oman National CERT (OCERT) and Nispana Innovative Platforms. The Regional Cyber security Summit in 2016 will extensively focus on future expected threats and measures, also aiming at global collaboration of public, private and academic sectors. This summit will attract over 300 plus CISO’s senior ICT and cyber security officials from the MENA region to discuss find strategic directions and plans to tackle emerging threats to the global and regional information security sector.
