The company will present its latest packaging innovations for the wine and fruit and vegetable sectors at the event.
Smurfit Kappa’s packaging solutions (smurfitkappa.com) combine innovative structural design and high-quality printing to maximise a brand’s impact on the shelf and help boost its sales. All solutions are developed by the company with in-store availability and supply chain requirements in mind.
Some of the solutions which you can learn more about from Smurfit Kappa include:
• The Styl'Matic® system, which allows simple shaping of the Styl'Box® packaging thanks to its manual former, with the adhesive tape automatically applied to close the flaps, all adaptable to any type of bottle. The Styl'Matic is intuitive to use, takes up very little space, and can be integrated into a pre-existing packaging line.
• Several types of boxes are available, such as the Styl’BIB® for packing Bag-in-Box® bags in just a few seconds.
The New Modulo, intended for e-commerce, is a ready-to-use packaging solution for packing crates of 6 and 12 bottles. It provides faultless protection that absorbs shock on every side and corner thanks to a vacuum system that fully surrounds the box to be transported.
The company will also present a range of its Bag-in-Box® solutions, including:
• The latest addition to the Pouch-Up® range, the new 3L format with a twin gusset, which easily adapts to all heights and retail display space constraints and allows optimised palletisation. From a technical point of view, this new version favours the use of the Pouch-Up® during packing and makes filling on all types of machines easier. The shape of the handle has also been changed, making the new format even more attractive.
• The upgraded semi-automatic machine, the Vitop web Semi machine which will be unveiled at the SITEVI exhibition, is the perfect tool for medium-sized producers to get started with. It was developed to improve workstation ergonomics, as well as filling quality and accuracy. In order to instantly eliminate the weight/volume repeatability error, an innovative and unique software programme was developed to be installed on this new machine. As well as retaining the qualities of the current semi-automatic filling machine, the new filler can use webbed bags from 2 to 10 litres, and single bags from 2 to 20 litres as well as Pouch-up® bags from 1.5 to 3 litres.
