Kearney, NE, United States, 2015/07/28 - The Buckle, Inc., (Buckle) announced today that the company has reached a settlement and license agreement with RevoLaze, LLC, a laser technology firm headquartered in Westlake, OH. NYSE: BKE

The settlement and license agreement comes in response to a patent infringement lawsuit filed with the International Trade Commission August 18, 2014 and Cleveland U.S. District Court on August 15, 2014. Buckle now has a non-exclusive, world-wide license to use all of RevoLaze’s laser abrasion technology patents for denim garments.
In an issued statement, Kyle L. Hanson, Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary commented,“We are happy to have concluded our ongoing litigation with RevoLaze, including the ITC case and the accompanying District Court lawsuit, in connection with this license and settlement.”
RevoLaze CEO Darryl Costin, PhD. was pleased as well by the agreement. “We are very excited to partner with The Buckle, a world-class denim retailer and look forward to partnering together to help them realize cost, quality, throughput and environmental advantages with our technology,” says Costin.
An added benefit to the new partnership is the RevoLaze design and training center at their Research & Development facility in Cleveland, OH. The R&D facility houses the 2500W LaserSharp DenimHD Abrasion System, the highest speed, highest powered laser abrasion system on the planet.
