Leader Biomedical Group has increased its global footprint by establishing an entity in Bangalore, India:Leader Biomedical and Surgicals India Pvt Ltd (“Leader Biomedical India”). Leader Biomedical India has already started registering the Group’s portfolio of orthopaedic implants and biomaterials and expects sales to commence in Q1 2016.
Leader Biomedical India will build a robust Marketing and Sales infrastructure to maximise the commercial success of the Group and its partners. Its focus will be on bringing established products, each with a solid track record in Europe and the US, to India, while the Group actively engages European and US partners to identify suitable solutions for indications beyond its current line of orthopaedic products.
“Setting up Marketing and Sales operations in India is however only the beginning,” explains Basil Babychan, Business Director Leader Biomedical Group. “We are also looking at opportunities to initiate local RnD and manufacturing activities to further improve the country’s access to next generation technologies and medical devices.
