The Online Trust and Honor Roll Audit is a comprehensive evaluation of a site's and mobile applications best practices in brand and consumer protection, security and privacy. This annual comprehensive audit underscores the importance of continued monitoring of security and privacy practices and the risks of becoming complacent. Yesterday’s practices and technologies may no longer be applicable or meet today’s regulatory or threat landscape. Now in its 7th year, the 2015 Online Trust Audit Honor Roll expands to a broader set of privacy and security enhancing criteria reflecting input from over 100 companies, consumer advocates and security professionals. The 2015 report includes an analysis of the Internet of Things (IoT) segment, focusing on the "connected home" and "wearable technologies".
High-Tech Bridge's web application security testing platform ImmuniWeb® (htbridge.com) was also involved into the OTA Honor Roll scoring process and methodology, among solutions of other companies such as Microsoft, Symantec, and Verisign.
"High-Tech Bridge is to be commented for once again qualifying for the Online Trust Honor Roll. While the standards and bar have been raised year after year, High-Tech Bridge not only has made the grade, but continues to be a trusted advisor and resource for many organizations helping to establish best practices and improve data security practices of their peers world-wide", said Craig Spiezle, Executive Director and President, Online Trust Alliance. "Utilizing data from ImmuniWeb helped to provide added insights in the risk landscape of every site we audited."
"We are proud to be a part of the OTA community, being able to commit our web security testing expertise to the Honor Roll", said Ilia Kolochenko, CEO of High-Tech Bridge. "Trust is very important these days, and I feel that OTA Honor Roll is the right initiative to inspire others with confidence and trust."
