Cabildo de Tenerife (Tenerife Island Council), through it’s Tourism Bureau (Tenerife Tourism Corporation) has signed a strategic agreement with IT Corporation Singularity Innovation S.L, which aims is to bring the island’s events, activities and services closer to the tourist in their own language.
The acting president of Cabildo de Tenerife, Mr. Carlos Alonso, explains: "We seek to improve the offerings available to the more than five million tourists who visit us each year, and this platform is an innovative technological tool that will help us ensure those that the traveler's experience is a much more compelling one. "
The Agreement was signed a few days ago at Tenerife Tourism Bureau’s HQ, by the Cabildo depending Corporation’s CEO, Mr. Miguel Ángel Santos, and by Mr. Andriy Yavorivskyy, CEO at Singularity Innovation. Mr Santos highlights: “with this tool, and the data gathered from our visitors about their by usage and preferences of our visitors, we will be able to focus and improve our Touristic products.”
Mr. Alonso adds: “ "this system adds another tool to those which we already have on the Island to provide destination information to our visitors," among which are Tourist Information Offices within the “Infoten” integrated network, the Tenerife tourist website or our events agenda, which is distributed in hotels, among others places.
Meanwhile, Mr Yavorskyy highlights "the weather and services offered by the Canary Islands, and especially in Tenerife, which makes our island a perfect reference point for any project, directly or indirectly related to tourism." he emphasizes that "it is a privilege to be able to test any technology at this unique place in the world.".
