Today, Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) is pleased to announce that it has once again been awarded a new PEPPM contract, which enables school districts, colleges, cities, counties, state governments, libraries, other public agencies and nonprofits to streamline the purchase of AVST solutions. Operated and administered by the state of Pennsylvania for more than 30 years, the PEPPM program reduces the time, effort and cost of purchasing technology products by eliminating the need for public agencies to bid. It ensures the most favorable pricing for these agencies and adheres to strict governmental statutes and regulations. The new PEPPM 2015 contract is available now through December 31, 2017.
Under the PEPPM program, all 50 U.S. states can utilize the contract to ease the purchasing process of AVST's CX-E Unified Communications (UC) platform. CX-E applications available under the PEPPM contract include unified messaging; Atom® personal assistant; speech; voicemail; automated attendant; IVR; TeamQ™ call center; and notification.
More than 1,400 federal, state and local entities and 1,100 educational institutions currently rely on AVST's CX-E. PEPPM is one of several cooperative purchasing contracts the company has in place.
"We are very pleased to be awarded this new PEPPM contract. The education and government sectors continue to be a primary focus for us, and we look forward to further serving public agencies that participate in this purchasing program," said Denny Michael, AVST Vice President of Marketing.
"AVST has proven itself to be an excellent UC applications provider to school, universities and other government agencies over the last several years," said David Manney, Program Manager of the National PEPPM Technology Bidding and Purchasing Cooperative. "AVST won its contract award by way of a competitive bid process that included providing great discounted pricing, excellent service and training throughout its previous contract term."
