Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST), a leading provider of best-of-breed Unified Communications (UC) software, has added new hybrid cloud services to its CX-E UC platform. Through new partnerships with OpenText™ and Mutare, AVST is bringing advanced cloud faxing and voicemail transcription capabilities to its customers.
While many businesses seek to move their communications infrastructure to the cloud, the hybrid cloud is becoming the preferred option for many medium and large enterprise deployments. According to industry analyst firm Gartner,"Hybrid cloud, and by extension hybrid IT, is here to stay. Few companies will only do public or only do private cloud computing, and no company should miss the opportunity to leverage both. In the end, a hybrid of private and public cloud, noncloud, and multiple public cloud services will serve the needs of more companies than any one cloud model alone1." AVST remains steadfast in its commitment to continually enhance its CX-E UC solution with new and advanced features that make the transition to the hybrid cloud easier.
To that end, the latest version of CX-E features OpenText's RightFax Connect. RightFax Connect is a cloud-based communication service used to send and receive faxes from the RightFax server, without traditional telephone lines. By extending delivery to and from the cloud, RightFax Connect provides flexibility and capacity-on-demand to any on-premise RightFax server.
In addition, CX-E offers Mutare's giSTT, a fully automated, cloud-based or premise-based voice transcription service. It takes CX-E voicemail messages and transcribes them to text so customers can read their voicemail messages in email, accessible through any mobile device or computer.
"There is no doubt that hybrid cloud UC deployments are a reality today," said Tom Minifie, AVST Chief Technology Officer. "Over the last two years, we have extended CX-E to integrate to Microsoft Office 365™, Google Gmail™, BroadSoft® and other public cloud UC components. Our latest offerings are another example of our commitment to continuously provide the most innovative features as part of our hybrid cloud offering."
AVST's CX-E 8.6 with RightFax Connect and giSTT are available now.
