Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST), a leading provider of best-of-breed Unified Communications (UC) software, today announced that its CX-E UC platform has successfully completed IP interoperability testing with GENBAND™ CS2100. The new integration extends AVST's leadership position in providing more simultaneous call control (PBX) integrations premise or cloud than any other UC platform in the market. AVST's CX-E delivers mission-critical mobile, voice, collaboration and business process applications to Avaya®, Alcatel-Lucent™, BroadSoft®, Cisco®, GENBAND, Microsoft®, Mitel®, NEC®, ShoreTel®, Unify® and more.
"GENBAND fosters and promotes an open interoperability ecosystem using communication and web standard interfaces that enable best-in-breed partners to deliver solutions for our mutual end customers," said Richard Travis, GENBAND Senior Enterprise Product Manager.
"Achieving GENBAND qualification further solidifies our leadership and commitment to protecting our customers' existing and future telephony investments," said Tom Minifie, AVST Chief Technology Officer. "It also provides an easy upgrade path for CS2100 customers to deploy new advanced UC applications designed to increase productivity."
CX-E's interoperability is the "glue" that enables enterprises to cost-effectively centralize and consolidate their call processing across an evolving and multi-vendor telephony infrastructure.
For example, one of the largest nonprofit hospital systems in the country was looking to migrate to VoIP while centralizing its call processing. The provider turned to AVST because it was the only solution that enabled consolidation of call processing into a single system while protecting the organization's GENBAND and NEC telephony investments.
The new GENBAND integration comes on the heels of several recently announced integrations and certifications. In September, AVST announced an integration to Microsoft Lync 2013 and a recent BroadSoft integration is helping to accelerate enterprise adoption of hybrid cloud-based UC solutions.
CX-E with GENBAND integration is now available through AVST's established reseller channels worldwide.
