5 Star SWD, LLC (5 Star) would like to announce that they have officially begun construction on the first of several saltwater disposal (SWD) facilities that will be located in the Eagleford shale play. This location, which is being called 5 Star Fashing SWD, is located in Atascosa County, Texas and is projected to be open for business in the 1st quarter of 2015.
“We are very pleased to already be in the construction phase of our first Eagleford shale SWD facility. The 5 Star Fashing SWD has been permitted through the Texas Railroad Commission for 15,000 BWPD. We feel very lucky to have been able to secure this location as it has already been deemed a necessity by numerous oil and gas operators currently drilling in the immediate area,” stated Waylan Johnson, President of 5 Star. He further stated,“We expect to have a strong customer base with steady disposal flow right out of the gate.”
5 Star’s approach to the SWD space has been carefully calculated based on area specific logistics, geology and engineering. Additionally, its management team has been working directly with some of the major players to strategize locations which best suit their needs. From location to facility design and everything in between, 5 Star adheres to a stringent selection process and assumes a hands-on approach so as to cultivate the proper foundation for success.
