This week at BroadSoft Connections 2014, Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) is showcasing its Unified Communications (UC) applications that transform the productivity of individuals, teams and businesses while enabling the transition to the cloud. AVST's CX-E platform brings productivity to BroadSoft's® BroadWorks® VoIP communications cloud application server. This interoperability is one of several joint initiatives led by AVST to accelerate medium and large enterprise adoption of hybrid cloud-based UC solutions.
The hybrid cloud has become the final destination for many enterprises because of its wide array of options and security features. For example, many UC components can live behind the corporate firewall, while others take advantage of the elasticity and quick provisioning of the public cloud. The hybrid cloud can also protect sensitive information, which is critical for enterprises that are reluctant to host customer and company data outside of their own data center. AVST augments carrier-grade call control (PBX) solutions with enterprise-class UC applications, including:
• Secure unified messaging that integrates to all email systems premise and/or cloud;
• Cost-effective informal call center, TeamQ™, that delivers ACD, UCD, agent desktop control and informational screen pops, supervisors interface, and more;
• Context-aware personal assistant, Atom™, which is like Siri for the enterprise and acts as a 24/7 office manager that understands the context of any given situation;
• Mobile client for iPhone® and Android™ that delivers secure access of messages;
• Speech-enabled automated attendant that improves business efficiency;
• Outbound notification for critical events and activities;
• IVR to accelerate information flow to customers.
CX-E delivers unified messaging, speech recognition, personal assistant, mobile client, voicemail, automated attendant, call center, IVR, fax, notification, and other business process applications regardless of whether other UC components such as call control, email and business applications reside on-premise or in the public cloud.
"We are pleased to have achieved certification with BroadSoft's BroadWorks, signifying to our joint customers that CX-E has been fully tested and works effectively with BroadSoft's cloud infrastructure," said Tom Minifie, AVST Chief Technology Officer.
BroadSoft Connections 2014 focuses on the UC strategies that enterprises are seeking in order to heighten individual, team and business productivity. Attendees have exclusive access to information and tools to help them effectively communicate the benefits of UC capabilities and ensure a superior experience throughout the buying and fulfillment process.
