This week at the EDUCAUSE 2014 Annual Conference, Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) is demonstrating its CX-E platform, the industry's most interoperable Unified Communications (UC) solution. At the conference, AVST is sharing with attendees the UC trends driving higher education communications and best practices for implementing hybrid cloud and mobility solutions.
A top 10 initiative at this year's conference is discussion and identification of ways for higher education institutions to develop campus IT architectures that respond to changing conditions and new opportunities. University IT personnel are challenged with mobility demands from staff and students, and they are tasked with the inevitable transition of moving select UC components to the cloud.
For more than 30 years, AVST's CX-E has helped customers improve productivity without the need for expensive infrastructure overhauls typically required of other UC solutions. The ideal hybrid cloud UC enabler, CX-E uniquely connects with all major call control solutions, email systems, presence engines, mobile devices and business applications no matter where they reside on premise or in the public cloud. In addition, CX-E offers best-of-breed applications that are all mission-critical components of an educational institution's UC solution set these include unified messaging, speech recognition, personal assistant, mobile client, automated attendant, IVR, voicemail, fax, call center and notification.
"More than 1,100 educational institutions, including the largest U.S. public and private universities, currently utilize our technology for campus-wide communications," said Denny Michael, Vice President of Marketing at AVST. "We're very proud of our long-standing history in the education sector and are pleased to be at EDUCAUSE to share our expertise on best practices that prepare campus UC infrastructure for the future."
