Illumination Consulting, a digital agency specializing in consulting services, marketing, design and website development, has started consulting services assisting their new client Astrida Naturals. The unrefined Shea butter based skin care brand is working with Illumination Consulting to increase their online sales, have a more effective website, and results oriented marketing campaigns.
The name Astrida, of Scandinavian origin, means beauty, strength, goddess and the divine. Maia, the founder and CEO of Astrida Naturals discovered high-quality, organic shea is full of antioxidants, polyphenols and anti-inflammatories. It soothes, calms, protects and moisturizes skin.
Astrida Naturals a Chicago Illinois based skin care company came to life in the form of simple jars of unrefined shea butter infused with concoction of essential oil blends. The skin care brand then slowly expanded into making a full line of facial skin care, body care and fragrances all featuring shea butter.
When asked about the motivation behind the skin care brand Astrida Naturals, founder and CEO Maia stated,“The first thing that thrilled me about making natural skin care products was the intriguing notion that I could marry science and nature together for healthier skin. The US market outlook for shea butter as personal care product, and as an ingredient in personal care products, appears excellent. Many of the high-end personal care manufacturers who emphasize shea in their product line describe shea-based products in the same way, as a “hot” product. One company even expressed that they were “saved by shea”.
Even though the industry lacks hard data, several factors drive demand. First, consumer awareness is increasing, especially among women, of the positive characteristics of shea and consumers see more pure shea on the market, as well as products that use shea as an ingredient. Women are also learning more about the product through the media and through marketing campaigns that feature shea as an ingredient or even promote a range of shea products.
