Brandon Hall Group today released new benchmarking research that identifies a sharp contrast between the urgency of today’s human capital issues and organizations’ capability and readiness to answer.
The industry perspective report, based on an analysis of survey data plus interviews and focus groups, includes four critical trends regarding how high-performance organizations are re-imagining and re-cutting their talent strategies, six global talent concerns based on those trends, and 10 top findings of the survey research.
Said report author Laci Loew, VP of Talent Management Practice and Principal Analyst: “37% of global organizations scored their business performance as low performing or significantly under-performing. They attributed the dismal results to lack of, or ineffective, talent management practices.
“When asked about their talent practices, 64% told us that they don’t yet have a talent strategy, and of those few that do, 94% of them said their talent management was ineffective. On the brighter side, organizations that self-reported their revenues as being 10 percent to 25 percent or more above that of their competition, invest more resources (budget, headcount) in their talent management function than do their lower-performing peers and align their approach to managing talent with leading practices. This suggests a strong relationship between leading practice talent management and better business results.”
