Baxter Planning Systems, the pioneer and recognized leader in inventory planning and optimization solutions, announced today that its engagement with Tolt Solutions, a leader in outsourced IT services and solutions for retail, has been selected as one of the 2014 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 Great Supply Chain Projects (SDCE100). The results were released yesterday by SDCE on its website and will be featured in print and online in its June issue.
“Ever since Tolt first implemented our inventory planning and forecasting software in 2011, we have been impressed with the company’s dedication to customer service and innovation,” said Greg Baxter, founder and President of Baxter Planning Systems. “We are proud to be associated with Tolt on this prestigious list of 100 Great Supply Chain Projects.”
Baxter was recognized for a three-month assignment to recalibrate Tolt’s service inventory supply chain for higher volume and velocity after two years of rapid growth. The engagement identified the potential for significant improvements through process changes and software enhancements. As Tolt systematically implements these initiatives, the company is realizing savings in shipping, inventory and labor costs.
Tolt Solutions employs nearly 1000 experienced retail IT consultants and serves more than 37,000 customer locations in the United States and Canada. The company delivers innovative technology solutions and managed services to the specialty retail, grocery, convenience, and food service industries.
